Steps

  1. Go to Integrations in Brief
  2. Find Notion and click Connect
  3. Authorize Brief in Notion's OAuth flow
  4. Select pages to share — Choose which pages/databases Brief can access
  5. Done! Brief starts syncing
Share more for better context. The more Notion pages you share with Brief, the richer the understanding. You can always add more pages later.

Sharing Pages with Brief

Notion requires you to explicitly share pages with integrations. Brief only sees what you share.

How to Share Pages

  1. Open a Notion page you want Brief to access
  2. Click Share in the top right
  3. Click Invite and search for "Brief"
  4. Select the Brief integration
  5. Choose access level (usually "Can view")
  6. Click Invite

Share Parent Pages

When you share a parent page, all nested child pages are included automatically. Share your main workspace or project pages for comprehensive coverage.

What happens after I connect?

After connecting:

  1. Initial sync — Brief fetches all shared pages (2-5 minutes)
  2. Content analysis — Strategy agent extracts goals, decisions, personas
  3. Webhook registration — Brief subscribes to page updates
  4. Continuous sync — Updates automatically as you edit pages

Common Issues

Why does it say "No pages found"?

Cause: No pages shared with Brief integration Fix:

  1. In Notion, go to a page you want to share
  2. Click Share → Invite → Search for "Brief"
  3. Add the Brief integration to that page

Why is content missing?

Cause: Page not shared with Brief Fix: Check page permissions. Brief only sees explicitly shared pages. Re-share pages or share parent pages to include children.

Why is syncing slow?

Cause: Large workspace with many pages Fix: Initial sync for large workspaces (100+ pages) can take 5+ minutes. This is normal. Subsequent updates are instant via webhooks.
