Plaud Integration

Connect Plaud to Brief to bring recordings, AI notes, and transcripts from your voice recorder into research signals your team can use.

Last updated: July 5, 2026

Plaud is an AI voice recorder that turns conversations into notes and transcripts. Connect it to Brief and those recordings feed the same research pipeline as your other meeting tools — themes, pain points, and quotes your team can act on, without anyone re-reading the transcript.

What data does Brief extract?

  • Recordings list — Which conversations you've captured
  • AI Notes — Plaud's generated summary for each recording
  • Transcripts — Full conversation content
  • Research Signals — Customer pain points, feature requests, and recurring themes pulled from the above

Why should I connect Plaud to Brief?

Capture research from anywhere

Plaud isn't tied to a meeting platform — it records in-person conversations, calls, and voice memos. Anything you capture becomes research material Brief can analyze alongside your other sources.

One connection, no manual review

Brief reads notes and transcripts directly through Plaud's connection and extracts themes automatically. You don't have to export files or paste transcripts anywhere.

Fits your existing research stack

Signals from Plaud sit alongside signals from Fathom, Granola, and your other meeting tools — Brief merges overlapping themes instead of showing you duplicates.

How do I set up this integration?

Setup time: 1 minute
Initial sync: 1-2 minutes
Updates: Periodic sync

Steps

  1. Go to Integrations in Brief
  2. Find Plaud and click Connect
  3. Sign in to your Plaud account and authorize Brief
  4. Done! Brief starts syncing your recordings

This is your personal connection — each teammate who wants Brief to read their Plaud recordings connects their own account. There's no admin step or team-wide setup.

What happens after I connect?

After connecting:

  1. Initial sync — Brief fetches your recent recordings, notes, and transcripts (1-2 minutes)
  2. Research extraction — AI agents analyze the content for themes and signals
  3. Continuous sync — New recordings are picked up on Brief's regular sync cycle (not instant — Plaud doesn't push updates in real time)

Common Issues

"No recordings synced"

Cause: Plaud hasn't captured any recordings yet, or the connected account doesn't have any Fix: Confirm you have recordings in the Plaud app under the account you connected to Brief.

"New recordings aren't showing up right away"

Cause: Plaud updates arrive via periodic sync, not instantly Fix: This is expected — give it a sync cycle. If a recording is still missing after a while, disconnect and reconnect Plaud from Integrations.

"No research signals extracted"

Cause: The recording is short, or doesn't contain customer conversation Fix: Brief generates the strongest signals from customer-facing conversations (interviews, sales calls, support calls). Personal notes or short voice memos may not produce signals.

"Connection stopped working"

Cause: Plaud's authorization can expire or be revoked Fix: Go to Integrations, disconnect Plaud, and reconnect to re-authorize.
